Who am I?
Rick van Boxtel is a graphic and interaction designer
based in Kaatsheuvel, The Netherlands. He currently
studies at the Fontys Hogeschool in Tilburg. In his
freetime he likes to work as a freelancer for passionate
and inspiring companies.

September 2014 - Present
Rick started his study ICT & Media Design in September
2014. With some experience with HTML / CSS and Photoshop,
he entered into his first year. Over the years his
knowledge has grown and code languages such as HTML / CSS
taught. The entire package of Adobe can be used during the
making of various expressions such as logos, posters, web
design, animations, video editing, etc. The innovation
route ICT & Digital Publishing and Minor 360º design
helped Rick to become better in the field of concepts and
Rick is currently looking for a
graduation internship starting 27 August 2018.

September 2017 - January 2018
Rick chose to do his minor at the "Academy for Creative
Industries (ACI)" in his third year of college. Minor 360°
design helped him to get better at making concepts and to
experiment with other design disciplines such as painting,
sketching, woodworking, etc. "What's the designer in
you?", a part of the minor, helped him to find what he
really likes to do as a graphic designer.
ICT & Digital Publishing at Fontys Hogeschool,
| September 2015 - July 2016
Rick got two days a week lessons in ICT & Digital
Publishing in the second year of his study. During these
lessons there was a deeper understanding of the topics
(dynamic) branding, concepts and semantics.

After Rick's internship at Aggeloo, he started a company
in which he developed the complete branding and websites
for companies. Aggeloo is the first company for which he
started to do freelance work. Quickly followed by a few
small companies for which digital products have been

2d studio in vorm has taught Rick a lot about DTP and
graphic design. He worked on lettering, magazines and web
design for local companies. His final assignment was to
develop a Wordpress website that connected to their
current website (made in Readmag). This made it easier to
post work and blog posts on their website.
Aggeloo, Trainee designer/developer | August 2016 -
During his internship at Aggeloo, Rick worked on creating
apps, websites and logos for the funeral industry. Not
only the designing / coding but also keeping the content
up-to-date was one of his tasks. In addition, he
contributed to the design of the 'Memories' platform. He
also had the opportunity to take a look at the funeral
fair (Gorinchem) in which Aggeloo had a stand.
The entire Adobe package is used to develop different
media expressions. From creating a magazine up until
putting together an animation with self-made
Adobe Premiere pro
Rick is experienced in creating websites with HTML / CSS.
dynamic through animations. He also has the basic
knowledge of PHP, but Rick often tends to use wordpress
when the demand for a back-end is present.
